Lockdown doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon but this Easter but Young Pulse has provided a gift to us all. With a blessing for our spirit and soul with this uplifting remix of George Benson’s timeless classic ‘Love X Love’. Now available for a free download.

“Originally composed by Rod Temperton and produced by Quincy Jones back in 1980, as part of the fantastic LP “Give Me The Night”. Fully remixed from the original multi-tracks, with a few new additional productions and a very soulful intro, Pulse gives here a unique taste of this classy song, while bringing the usual touch of his Y.P. mix & mastering, disco ready.”

Stay Home, Spread Music: OPOM provide a plethora of free downloadable mixes in the fight against Covid-19

We hope you are all keeping safe and staying positive.

Clubs, venues, live music and the gig economy has ground to a halt. Lockdown has ensued and the world seems to have stopped spinning for all of us. But we hope the creative juices are flowing, the studios have been dusted off and you’re all pushing on in the face of adversity. Something that will hopefully bring a smile to your face comes from our friends at OPOM (Our People; Our Music) providing daily downloadable mixes from names all across the industry.

With the prospect of staying in looking indefinite for the foreseeable future, OPOM created a project of showcasing mixes every day as a way of making ‘staying in the new going out’. Included in this vast library of mixes is Unity’s very own Paris Cesvette, Birdee and Michael Gray. Yuksek releases his long anticipated fourth studio album – Nosso Ritmo

Yuksek has been hard at work, a true studio addict, he has produced, remixed and collaborated with: Gorillaz, Phoenix, UGOD, Lana Del Rey, JD Samson, Boston Bun, Moby, Brodinski, The Magician, Alex Metric – just to name a few. Since his last album release; Nous Horizon (2017), Yuksek has produced and mixed tracks for Clara Luciani, Breakbot , Lescopet et Corinne.

With his new album, Nosso Ritmo, Yuksek takes influences from Latin and Brazilian musicwhile maintaining a house and disco groove. The album title, Nosso Ritmo, (‘Our Rhythm’ when translated from Portuguese) pays homage to Yuksek’s love of Brazilian music and features numerous artists including: Queen Rose, Confidence Man, Breakbot & Zombie Zombie. Yuksek offers a generous dance music album, subtle and timeless, Nosso Ritmo is the rhythm that connects us.

Outside of the studio, Yuksek is just as dedicated; with over 40 gigs already lined up in 2020, Yuksek is dedicated to his craft. This is reflected in Nosso Ritmo, with flavours injected into his tracks influenced from playing across the world – it is one to be listened to from start to finish.

After growing a huge following LV Online brings their host; Le Visiteur, to Oslo, Hackney for a month long takeover displaying the best there is in Disco with the lineup coming exclusively from The Unity Agency Roster. Featuring alongside LV is: Birdee, Phonk D, Young Pulse, Cody Currie, Ralph Session and Pablo Contraband. Another highlight is the closing party which will debut Le Visiteur’s ‘C’est Chic’ immersive AV show.

All whom have been influential in the Glasgow music scene. Together between a mix of live music and discussion they detail the scene, play some records and portray their vision of the city they call home.
