Yukek’s sound combines disco and pop influences with a modern and darker electronic production. His love for the New York scene led by James Murphy, the long line of French electronic production, Anglo Saxon music of the 70’s and more exotic influences gleaned from his global travels have helped shape his sound.
In 2013, he created his own label, Partyfine on which he signed several French and international artists and continued a world tour started in 2009 as a DJ and Live performer.
As a true studio addict, he has produced, remixed and collaborated with a large number of artists such as JD Samson, Gorillaz, Phoenix, UGOD, Lana Del Rey, JD Samson, Boston Bun, Moby, Brodinski, The Magician, Alex Metric… In 2018 Yuksek produced and mixed tracks for Clara, Breakbot , Lescop et Corinne.
Yuksek has also spent a lot of time writing for film, television and stage. He made his first original film music in 2014, ‘Marguerite et Julien’, by Valérie Donzelli in competition at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, and collaborate in theater with director Ludovic Lagarde. He just finished composing for Jerome de Gerlache ‘Là où l’on va’ and Netflix documentary ‘Gregory’ screening late 2019.
Yuksek’s third album Nous Horizon released in February 2017. Featuring Greek singer Monika, Her, Roman Rappak, Juveniles and Kim, Yuksek offers a sunnier album, sometimes melancholic but hedonistic, subtle and dancing and resolutely strained towards the 70’s disco production.
Since his last album he has released several titles on worldwide labels, American (Razor-n-tape), Australian (Sweat it out) and British (Classic music) as well as three EP’s, collaborations with Brazilians Fatnotronic, with Bertrand Burgalat and Polo&Pan.
Always very active as remixer, Yuksek worked his magic in 2019 on tracks by Malik Djoudi, JKriv, Kraak&Smaak, Alex Rossi, Fred Pallem & Purple Disco Machine….
A new album and a live tour in February kick off 2020 in typical Yuksek non stop style.
